Nestled in the ancient Aravali hills of Rajasthan, the 18th century Devigarh Fort Palace, in the village of Delwara commands one of the three main passes into the valley of the City of Lakes, Udaipur. Lingering with a historical past, today, after years of restoration and reconstruction, Devigarh has regained its past glory. An imposing and impressive structure, it is now a unique all-suite boutique hotel, with 23 suites and 6 tents.
A beautiful boutique hotel in Udaipur, Devigarh is a blend of two worlds - the traditional and the modern. Its ambience is an eclectic mix of skillfully crafted designs, both old and new, functional and purely aesthetic. Local materials like marble and semi-precious stones have been used in contemporary designs to create an elegant beauty. Personalized service complemented by a wide range of modern facilities goes towards making Devigarh a comfortable and attractive retreat.
Accommodation
All of the 23 suites at Devigarh are unique; luxurious and beautiful, yet equipped with the most modern of conveniences to make guests feel totally at home. Most suites include an individual terrace or garden. The premium suite, called the Devi Garh suite, has a swimming pool and a jacuzzi, of its own. Each suite is embellished with marble and semi-precious stones, while the public spaces are designed around different metals. Six tents are also available on request from October to March.
Each room at Devi Garh is a compact accommodation unit offering amenities like Private dining areas, Minibar, Air-conditioning and heating, In-room safe, Marble Bathtub, Individual shower cubicle, CD Player, Satellite Television, etc.
Dining
The restaurant along with a magnificent view of the Aravali's offers an a la carte selection of Asian and Continental dishes. Menus are changed daily to provide more choice to guests. The western and eastern menu incorporates flavors from as far away as Italy and Thailand. For the Indian daily menu, a selection of dishes from different regions of India is served on a silver platter or Thali. Healthy eating can be adhered to since the low calorie Spa menu is also available in the restaurant. Along with personalizing the food, special care has been taken to surprise guests in the bar as well. An eclectic mix of drinks such as spirits stirred with Pomegranate juice or Jasmine syrup are available along side more familiar favorites.
